If I am sending one job (exit), I observe the following in the syslog Jan 11 21:42:53 mentat251 peerslave[5637]: executing job 8 from roboos@mentat001.fcdonders.nl (jobid=1451008630, memreq=1073741824, timreq=10) Jan 11 21:42:53 mentat251 peerslave[5637]: error evaluating string in engine Jan 11 21:42:53 mentat251 peerslave[5637]: failed to execute job 9 from roboos@mentat001.fcdonders.nl (jobid=1451008630, memreq=1073741824, timreq=10) Jan 11 21:42:53 mentat251 peerslave[5637]: executing job 9 took 0 seconds

fixed in revision 2564, also made syslog consistent with what you see in matlab
