test_bug2338 has to do with openmeeg. I just ran it, and there was no problem. The occasional problems might be due to it running on different computers (AMD/Intel) with slightly different OSes or libraries. It worked on dccn-c355.dccn.nl. Todo: check the log files if there is a pattern between execution nodes and failures.
