At this moment ft_compute_leadfield performs some unit checking, but smart conversion is not yet implemented. The scaling can be part of grad.tra or elec.tra. Something to think about is how to do average referncing of eeg data if the units are different for diffent channels. I guess that a mixtu of V and uV should not be allowed.
